To the Editor.—
We can make a tremendous impact on certain disease and death rates1-3 and take an impressive step toward solving the hospital cost problem4 by requesting, as concerned citizens,5 that our largest group of public hospitals, viz, the Veterans Administration hospitals, halt the sale of (tax-exempt, hence tax-supported) cigarettes.
