Grand Rounds on Medical Malpractice constitutes a thorough review of a number of important areas of medicolegal risk for the practicing physician. It is a comprehensive piece of work, in which the author, Francis X. Campion, MD, has marshaled articles by a number of authors published in various parts of the medical literature over the years. Some of the oldest material dates back to 1980 and, thus, raises the question whether more recent information should have been published when appropriate.
The book contains a "publisher's commentary" by James S. Todd, MD, Executive Vice President of the American Medical Association. Dr Todd is well known for his malpractice expertise, dating back to when he chaired the Board
