—I would like to question why Dr Shalala1 omitted such immunizations as pertussis, rubella, and Haemophilus influenzae type B and instead included hepatitis B.If, in fact, the statistics regarding full immunizations by the age of 2 years included hepatitis B, it is hard to understand how so many were indeed immunized since the use of hepatitis B vaccine first became prevalent in the fall of 1992.I agree that not enough children receive adequate immunizations, but I wonder at the statistics.
