Abstract

Incorrect Data and References.  —In the Review entitled "Effect of Calcium Supplementation on Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension and Preeclampsia: A Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials," published in the April 10, 1996, issue of THE JOURNAL (1996;275: 1113-1117), incorrect data appeared in Table 1. On page 1114, the entries in the fifth column for type of control should be normal diet (not placebo) for the studies by Marya et al, 1987, Montanaro et al, 1990, and Cong et al, 1993. Also, the correct citation for reference 14 is as follows: Cong KJ, Chi SL, Liu CR. Calcium and pregnancyinduced hypertension. Chin J Obstet Gynecol. 1993;28:657-659. The correct citation for reference 25 is as follows: Montanaro D, Boscutti G, Antonucci F, et al. Prevention of pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) and preeclampsia (PE) by oral calcium supplementation: preliminary results. Miner Metab Res Italy. 1986;7:121-124.
