Advances in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Clinical Nutrition serves as a useful and enjoyable journal for the practicing gastroenterologist. This new journal condenses significant contributions from other journals and publishes them with commentaries from experts from a variety of fields not restricted to gastroenterology. The condensations are prepared by the publisher; the commentators have published extensively in the specific fields in which they comment. Each issue includes at least one in-depth original review article. All articles pertain to topics that clinical gastroenterologists deal with frequently.
In addition to the review articles and commentaries, each issue has a section entitled "News in Brief," which offers short reviews of current articles from major journals. These add to the completeness of the journal and allow the physician a broader view of articles published in the field.
