—In the Original Contribution entitled "Is There a Gulf War Syndrome? Searching for Syndromes by Factor Analysis of Symptoms," published in the January 15, 1997, issue of The Journal (1997;277:215-222), text was omitted from the description of syndrome 5. On page 219, in the right-hand column, third paragraph, the sentence should read as follows: Sixteen veterans had in common fever with or without night sweats, swollen glands in diverse locations, and odor-triggered physical symptoms, which we named syndrome 5, or the "fever-adenopathy" syndrome.
