Abstract

—In the Commentary entitled "Preventing the Extinction of the Clinical Research Ecosystem," published in the July 16, 1997, issue of The Journal (1997;278:241-245), there was an error in wording. On page 244, the third sentence under "A Call for Action" should read as follows: This summit could be modeled after the one called by President Bushin 1990, entitled America2000: An Education Strategy, to address the crisis in American education.
