Incorrect Statement.—

In the Grand Rounds at the Clinical Center of the National Institutes of Health entitled "Evaluating Coronary Heart Disease Risk: Tiles in the Mosaic," published in the May 7, 1997, issue of The Journal (1997;277:1387-1390), there was an incorrect statement. On page 1389, in the third column, first full paragraph, the third sentence should read as follows: "Plasminogen is activated by the generation of plasmin which, in turn, cleaves fibrin to fibrin split products involving an array of plasma proteins."
