Abstract

—The bill introduced into the House of Representatives, at Washington, for framing and publishing a pharmacopoeia of true national character, a copy of which was published in this journal for January 26, is making favorable progress in the Committee of Ways and Means, to which it was referred, and is strongly recommended by several of the more influential medical journals. We again ask that all our readers who approve the measure, shall lose no time in exerting their legitimate influence with members of Congress from their respective districts in favor of the early passage of the bill. For other medical matters before Congress we refer to our correspondence from Washington, in another part of the Journal.
