London, Sept. 1884.

The fixtures for the opening of the winter session at the medical schools of the metropolis have, with one exception, been made. The session 1884-85 of the London Hospital will commence on Wednesday, Oct. 18, when the prizes for the past session, and the nursing probationers prizes will be distributed at 8 P. M. by the Lord Mayor. The medical department of King's College will meet on the 1st of October at 4 P. M., when the prizes will be distributed, and an address given by the Rev. H. Wace, principal of King's College. The session both at St. Bartholomew's and Guy's hospitals will commence on the first of October, but for neither has an opening address been announced. At St. Thomas' Hospital Medical School the session will be opened on Wednesday, Oct. 1, when an introductory address will be delivered by Sir Risdon Bennett at 3
