Abstract

With the avowed object of showing the curability of consumption "from its first beginnings to its last stages" Dr. Davis presents this second edition for popular and professional reading. The positions taken in the various chapters concerning causes, diagnosis, treatment, exercise, etc., are in accord with the generally accepted opinions of the day and the dietary of several sanatoria is set forth in detail. Dr. Davis' optimism regarding the curability of consumption in its later stages is shared by very few practitioners of large experience.
