Abstract

My method is a combination of the various beneficial remedial measures proposed at one time or another for the cure of ulcer of the stomach. It is a method of methods. The dietis original. The other procedures, except for details, are not. The diet is vastly different from the very sparse diets of the von Leube and the Lenhartz ulcer cures. My method does not require a stay in bed. The patient goes about his business as usual. Hard work, however, should be forbidden. I have had very little experience with it in the acute cases of ulcer of the stomach, and I do not know its field of usefulness in those cases, my experience having been confined solely to the chronic type of ulcer of the stomach. As a rule those are the cases that yield least to medical means, but my experience has been most gratifying with them.
