Fellowships in Medicine.  —The Preston School of Industry, maintained by the state of California at lone, Cal., has offered three fellowships of the annual value of $500, plus room and board at the Preston School, available for students of the University of California in medicine, social economics, applied psychology, law, political science or agriculture.

Popular Medical Lectures.  —Stanford University Medical School has commenced a series of lectures in Lane Hall. The first lecture, on January 15, was by Dr. Ray Lyman Wilbur, on "Modern Medicine." On January 29, Dr. Wm. Palmer Lucas discussed "Feeble-Mindedness, Its Coinci
