This volume maintains the high standard of its predecessors. There are so many articles of merit that it is impossible to enumerate them. There is one, however, of such transcendent excellence as to demand special mention. This is Dr. Shastid's masterly monograph on the "Legal Relations of Ophthalmology." The interest of this article is by no means confined to the special branch of medicine with which it purports to deal. In the introductory part the general question of technical, evidence in this and other countries is treated, and the judicial organization is briefly but sufficiently explained. This part of the article should be read by every medical man and every person interested in the question of expert testimony.
