To the Editor of the Medical Record: 

Dear Sir.  —Upon my return to the city to-day my attention, has been called to the following paragraph, which appears in your issue of the 18th inst.:

" Consulting with Homœopaths.  —The wife of Mr. Bayard, Secretary of State, has been lying ill at Willmington, Del., under the care of a homœopathic physician, Dr. Argendank. The daily papers assert that regular physicians, among them Dr. Gardner (Garnett?), of Washington, have been in consultation with the physician in attendance."As you are the zealous and aggressive organ of the New Code sect who advocate and practice such professional association, I am constrained to believe that the introduction of my name in this connection was intended as a high compliment to me.
