Abstract

This is a thorough work by an author who has had a wide experience in connection with the epidemics of yellow fever in the West Indies, in New Orleans and on the west coast of Africa. The history of the disease in these various regions is first considered, then follows a treatise on the symptomatology, diagnosis, pathology and prophylaxis of the disease. The book is well illustrated and will be welcome to sanitarians, especially those who are interested in tropical medicine.
