Abstract

This thesis will be of interest to both the pediatrician and the surgeon. Most of the cases of pathologic thymus come under the care of the pediatrician first, but the author considers that these cases are all surgical at the present time. The work is divided into two parts, the first purely anatomic, in which the author gives his personal researches on the topography of the thymus, while in the second the surgical side of the subject is taken up in all its details. The author describes twelve cases of surgery of the thymus which he has had an opportunity to study personally and twenty-seven other cases which he has been able to collect from the literature.
