THE REPAIR OF CYSTOCELEBY UTILIZATION OF THE ANATOMICALLY FIXED POINTS IN THE ANTERIOR VAGINAL WALL.

Abstract

A year ago I read before the American Gynecological Association a paper on this same subject, setting forth what I believed to be somewhat new and important points in the repair of cystocele. My object in this present paper is to restate the facts and conclusions then brought forward, with the developments which have been obtained in another year of work, and supported by the ultimate results of the cases then reported.

We hear nothing nowadays of new methods of operation in the repair of the lacerated cervix, and for several years have heard nothing of new methods in the repair of the perineum. These operations are satisfactory. The anatomic principles on which they were founded are well worked out, and there is little more to say about them, hence the silence.
