To the Editor:
—Your editorial in the Journal of July 3, entitled " The Late Meeting of the Ophthalmic Section of the American Medical Association," must have attracted the attention of all your readers. The Association meeting was bo notable in all respects that there may be danger of losing sight of the great excellence of the work in the various Sections. It may not be out of place to emphasize once more the high estimate universally expressed of the work done in the Section on the Practice of Medicine. Knowing from experience how difficult it is to arrange a program satisfactory to all of a large body of physicians, the list of papers read and the discussions brought out are recalled not only with gratification but a certain amount of wonder. It ought not to be necessary to reiterate the titles of papers
