Abstract

This book is of value to the student as a guide to the proper construction of the prescription. It includes directions for converting the apothecary weights into the metric system, and vice versa. That part devoted to prescription writing and incompatibilities is of especial value. The appendix includes a list of the common poisons and methods of treatment of poisoning. This edition also contains a list of the drugs with their doses arranged in accordance with the recent changes established by the new Pharmacopeia.
