by L. C. H. Boisliniere, A.M., M.D., LL.D. Late Emeritus Professor of Obstetrics in the St. Louis Medical College, etc. Illustrated. Philadelphia: 1896. W. B. Saunders, 925 Walnut Street. 8vo., cl., pp. 381. Price $2.00.
This handbook comprises the essentials of the branches set forth in the title conveniently arranged and admirably stated. It seems to very happily present in a small compass the present teachings of the art. The publisher has well performed his part of the book by furnishing excellent illustrations. It is a book which will be of great service to students, and as well to young practitioners, for everybody knows that the young obstetrician invariably has the most desperate cases.
