This handbook comprises the essentials of the branches set forth in the title conveniently arranged and admirably stated. It seems to very happily present in a small compass the present teachings of the art. The publisher has well performed his part of the book by furnishing excellent illustrations. It is a book which will be of great service to students, and as well to young practitioners, for everybody knows that the young obstetrician invariably has the most desperate cases.
