This book reviews the progress in obstetrics during the past year. Little advance has been made in the scientific fields of obstetric research. Under "Eclampsia" are considered the biologic theories of the origin of this condition, and attention is directed to Zweifel's announcement that lacticaciduria is an important etiologic factor. The work as a whole, however, deals with the practical side of obstetrics.
