A booklet recently issued by a proprietary medicine firm contains interesting subjects for reflection. About a score of "testimonials" are presented, and those from a good-sized western city are peculiarly noteworthy. Certificates from two physicians in good standing alternate with certificates from three notorious quacks. The position of these physicians is certainly neither enviable nor comfortable, but it is an admirable object lesson to those who are tempted at times to write a testimonial.
