This little work is intended to throw light in dark places and to call attention to the neglect of sanitary rules in districts outside of the great cities. The scope of the work is as follows: Water-supply, waste disposal, the soil, habitations, disposal of the dead and normal distribution of chlorin.

The work is well illustrated and is undoubtedly very useful for the classes for whom it is intended.

There is certainly room for missionary work in the direction indicated.
