Baltimore, April 6, 1905.

To the Editor:  —Would it in any way be contrary to the policy of The Journal to insert the following statement? One of the best known physicians of this country, a woman who has given her life to the arduous duties of the profession, as well as to work in numerous charitable associations, especially in those which are helpful to women, has suddenly been thrown out of a life of great activity and usefulness into one of absolute inactivity and dependence.
