Abstract

CALIFORNIA.  An osteopath of Santa Cruz, has been released from jail on a bond of $500, on condition that he leave the state.The medical bill has been passed by the senate and will now, unless unforeseen contingencies arise, become a law.The health bill, which appropriates $100,000 as an emergency fund to be at the disposal of the governor and State Board of Health, to be used in case of emergency, has passed both the house and senate and will become a law.Mary's Help Hospital is to be built on a large plat of ground on Guerrero street, San Francisco. The building will be for the exclusive use of women and children. The late Mrs. Kate Johnston left a bequest of $250,000 for the erection, equipment and maintenance of the hospital.
