It was a year of accomplishment and promise for the 27-year-old man. He had completed four years of study in law with an advanced degree in conflict and dispute resolution. He and his fiancée had just mailed out invitations to their wedding. After the wedding, they planned to move to Boston to start their careers and begin a family. His sunny disposition, compassion for others, and excellent problem-solving skills made him a natural leader among his colleagues. He believed in peaceful resolution of conflict outside the tort system through mutual understanding of disparate views. He had many friends and a large and loving family and was known for his kind and generous manner.
