JAMA. 2011;305(12):1246-1247. doi:10.1001/jama.2011.358

In her aptly titled Give Food a Chance: A New View on Childhood Eating Disorders, author Julie O’Toole presents an interesting new perspective on the etiology and treatment of eating disorders. O’Toole is trained in pediatrics and adolescent medicine and is the founder of the Kartini Clinic in Portland, Oregon. This clinic consists of a multidisciplinary team of professionals who have spent more than a decade developing and expanding a program dedicated exclusively to providing comprehensive, specialized care to children and young adults with eating disorders.
