Abstract

This monumental work covers the entire field of diagnostic neuroradiology. The authors have done an excellent job in depicting their unusually rich experience. The book is intended as a text for students, a handbook for those in the graduate study of radiology, and a record of the working principles of neuroradiology found useful by the authors. While it is too difficult for medical students, it is an excellent text for those moderately well versed in the field of neuroradiology.

The first section of 228 pages, dealing with the plain-film examination of the skull, has perhaps too few illustrations of the normal. The use of arrows to point out areas of interest often makes it difficult to correlate the illustrations and the captions. Most of the illustrations are reasonably good, although some do not demonstrate well what they are intended to show. Some lesions of the bony skull are almost entirely
