To the Editor:—
The vast network of volunteers and professional staff members who make up the federation of tuberculosis associations throughout the United States were most encouraged by the significant statement of the position of the American Medical Association on tuberculosis control, expressed by the AMA House of Delegates at its annual meeting in New York City last month.Apathy can so often be the major deterrent to any important goal. The AMA's recognition of the job that lies ahead in the control and final eradication of tuberculosis leaves no room for such apathy. The AMA House of Delegates is to be congratulated for its grasp of the ever-changing public picture of our nation.
