To the Editor:—
The report of the Council on Drugs, "To Label or Not to Label," approved what I have been advocating for years, although it has been difficult to convince many of the value of having the patient in possession of full knowledge of the medicine he is taking. It has been a great help to me. So often a patient will call up to know if he should continue a certain medicine, and knowing the name of the medicine makes it so easy to advise. When anyone sees my patient in the event of an emergency, unexpectedly, he will discover easily what the patient has been taking.Of course, some druggists will avoid the law and fill a prescription, but this is so seldom done.
