To the Editor:—
The editorial on Crawford W. Long (194:1008, 1965) has my full approval. I see we did not keep out "Priestly"! Poor fellow, he almost always loses an "e." This is one of the most common errors in medical history, and you are in good company. I found it again in Inglis' new History of Medicine, while writing a review.
