Dual Therapy May Erase Metastases

Abstract

Combined external and internal irradiation of brain tumors and central nervous system metastases is undergoing early clinical trials at the University of Minnesota.

Animal studies as well as preliminary clinical impressions give evidence this new regimen has value, Stephen A. Kieffer, MD, told the Society for Pediatric Radiology.
