Abstract

In the editorial "Newborn Organ Abnormalities and Maternal Glucose Metabolism" (JAMA197:362 [Aug 1] 1966) an error appears in the final paragraph, in the sentence: "The cushingoid appearance of many newborn infants of diabetic mothers may correlate with the excessive amounts of corticosteroids reported in mothers' urine and amniotic fluid." The last portion of this sentence should read: "... in their infants' urine and amniotic fluid."
