Abstract

Since this book was reviewed in The Journal in 1909 changes and additions have been made to bring the work up to conform to the present understanding of the various subjects in pediatrics. Among the additions in this edition are sections on enlarged tonsils and adenoids, epilepsy, asthma and hydrocephalus. The sections on infantile paralysis and congenital syphilis have been revised to correspond with later information on those subjects. The work still retains its former character of a record chiefly of the personal experiences and opinions of the author, who is well qualified to impart most valuable information on the common disorders and diseases of childhood.
