Omitted Word

JAMA. 1998;279(2):118. doi:10.1001/jama.279.2.118

In the Letter entitled "Genetic Testing and Informed Consent" published in the September 10, 1997, issue of THE JOURNAL (1997;278:821), a word was inadvertently omitted. The second sentence of the Letter should have read as follows: "What is presented is said to reflect ‘a number of consensus statements' agreeing that research should not be done on banked tumor tissue. . . . "
