Incorrect Numbers in Text in: Lead, Mercury, and Arsenic in US- and Indian-Manufactured Ayurvedic Medicines Sold via the Internet

JAMA. 2008;300(14):1652. doi:10.1001/jama.300.14.1652-a

Incorrect Numbers in Text: In the Original Contribution entitled “Lead, Mercury, and Arsenic in US- and Indian-Manufactured Ayurvedic Medicines Sold via the Internet” published in the August 27, 2008, issue of JAMA (2008;300[8]:915-923), 2 numerical errors were published. On page 916 at the bottom of the first column, the power statement should have read that “ . . . this sample size provided 90% power to demonstrate a 15% difference in metal prevalence (α = .05).” On page 918 at the top of the second column, the tolerable weekly intake for mercury should have read “5 μg/kg of mercury.” These errors do not affect the findings or conclusions of the article.
