Incorrect Data in: A 37-Year-Old Man Trying to Choose a High-Quality Hospital: Review of Hospital Quality Indicators

Incorrect Data: In the Clinical Crossroads entitled “A 37-Year-Old Man Trying to Choose a High-Quality Hospital: Review of Hospital Quality Indicators” published in the December 2, 2009, issue of JAMA (2009;302[21]:2353-2360), a data error occurred on page 2354. In the first paragraph under “Incidence: How Common Is This Problem?” the fourth sentence should have stated that 13.5 million Americans, not 14.5 million Americans, are likely to change hospitals and physicians every year.
