Errors in Text

JAMA. 2016;315(8):822. doi:10.1001/jama.2016.1095

In the Viewpoint entitled “Physician-Assisted Dying: A Turning Point?” published in the January 19, 2016, issue of JAMA,1 there were errors in the text. Under the heading “Incompatibility With Medical Practice,” the second sentence should read “physicians who work closely with terminally ill patients are less likely to support PAD….” In the first paragraph under the heading “Turning Point in Social and Ethical Thought,” the second sentence should read that the California Medical Association changed its stance to neutral “prior to” the passage of the act. This article was corrected online.
