Incorrect Data in: Effects of Aerobic and Resistance Training on Hemoglobin A1c Levels in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes: A Randomized Controlled Trial

JAMA. 2011;305(9):892. doi:10.1001/jama.2011.228

Incorrect Data: In the Original Contribution titled “Effects of Aerobic and Resistance Training on Hemoglobin A1c Levels in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes: A Randomized Controlled Trial,” published in the November 24, 2010, issue of JAMA (2010;304[20]:2253-2262), data were incorrectly presented. The “Fasting insulin” row of Table 1 presented the mean fasting insulin levels but should have reported the median. The median fasting insulin level for each category follows: all participants, 15.3 μIU/mL; control group, 12.6 μIU/mL; resistance training group, 16.0 μIU/mL; aerobic exercise group,13.9 μIU/mL; and the combination exercise group, 16.9 μIU/mL. The corresponding interquartile ranges were correctly presented. This article has been corrected online.
