As melanoma incidence and mortality rise and as populations age in developed countries such as France and the United States, it becomes paramount for dermatologists to use diminishing resources judiciously to optimize melanoma management. Well-established guidelines of care, however, neither stratify nor adjust primary melanoma treatment according to patient age.1,2
