Please let me know exactly why Dermatologic Surgery, an Index Medicus, peer-reviewed journal with substantial clinical impact, is not listed to be regularly reviewed for your guidelines. The inexcusable delay of the American Academy of Dermatology in producing evidence-based liposuction guidelines has made California's legislation gains more difficult. The bulk of the articles on this and other surgical topics in our present guidelines are in Dermatologic Surgery. I fear that the omission of this important journal from the list may be a sad testimony to the underestimated importance of dermatologic surgery by the section editors; it suggests imbalance and bias toward medical dermatology in the roster of section editors. Please clarify. Thank you.
