Topics covered will be the melanocyte system, transcriptional control of melanogenesis, the role of the cAMP and PKC signaling pathway in melanocyte differentiation, melanosome biogenesis and transport, effects and signaling of UV, UV and melanogenesis, photoprotection, and future strategies to modulate melanogenesis and melanin photoprotection.
