In a field that develops as rapidly as laser technology, one must remember that any new printed textbook is at publication more an historical archive than an accurate statement of current knowledge or practice. That said, Dr Alster has submitted this second edition of her Manual of Cutaneous Laser Techniques to the profusion of available dermatologic surgical, even exclusively laser, textbooks.
