Edited by David J. Goldberg, 126 pp, $129, ISBN 3540212779, Springer-Verlag NY Inc, New York, NY, 2005.
This book, which is the companion volume to Cheryl Burgess’ Cosmetic Dermatology, focuses on the other main procedural realm within aesthetic dermatology. Laser Dermatology is not the only current book on lasers edited by Goldberg, who has recently published more books on cutaneous laser surgery than anyone else. As can be expected from such a seasoned editor, this is an expertly constructed volume. The chapter authors are international authorities in their respective fields. Confined to a mere 126 pages, Goldberg and his contributors have managed to cover all the main laser indications, including treatment of vascular lesions, treatment of pigmented lesions, hair removal, ablative and nonablative resurfacing, and photodynamic therapy.
