I am aware that Dr Ågren has carried out research on zinc and wound healing, both in vivo and in vitro, and I agree with his comments about the difficulty of assessing an individual's zinc status.

I read with interest his article1 on topical zinc oxide and the healing of leg ulcers. Unfortunately, there is insufficient detail in his article to be certain if topical zinc oxide is of benefit in the treatment of human leg ulcers.
