The aim of the Cochrane Skin Group (CSG), which is part of the Cochrane Collaboration, is to assist reviewers by producing a comprehensive register containing international reports of controlled clinical trials (CCTs) that have been conducted in dermatology since 1948. The CSG was registered in Nottingham, England, in 1997 and was introduced to readers of the ARCHIVES in December 1998.1
