The third edition of Primer of Dermatopathology is an introductory textbook of dermatopathology intended for dermatology and/or pathology residents during their training.
An introductory section presents the normal histology of the skin, a glossary of common histopathological features, and a brief summary of special tissue stains and immunohistochemistry. The bulk of the book is composed of a review of dermatopathologic disorders and entities based on their microanatomic location, from the stratum corneum through the panniculus. Chapters are well organized, and the contents of each page are subdivided into 3 columns. Disease entities are listed in the left column, histological criteria in the middle column, and relevant comments and/or differential diagnosis in the right column.
