Adjuvant High-Dose Interferon Therapy for High-Risk Melanoma

Arch Dermatol. 2003;139(12):1635-1637. doi:10.1001/archderm.139.12.1635

Question: Does adjuvant interferon alfa improve survival after resection of stage I, II, or III malignant melanoma?

Data Sources: Electronic searches of MEDLINE (1966-March 2001), EMBASE (1974-March 2001), and the Controlled Trials Register from the Cochrane Library (issue 4, 2000) using medical subject headings (MeSH) "melanoma" and "interferon alpha." Also, review articles, textbooks, conference proceedings, and discussions with experts in the field were used to identify other published or unpublished data.
