Abstract

To the Editor: It was a pleasure to read the excellent article of Dr. Tulio Briceno-Maaz, "Two Cases of Congenital Ichthyosis," Archives of Dermatology, 87:230-233 (Feb) 1963. I was particularly interested in the case of the boy born March, 1959 (Fig 3). From the description and the photograph I believe he has a congenital defect of the scalp. Dr. Nelson Paul Anderson and I reported this condition in the Archives of Dermatology and Syphilology, 46:257 (Aug) 1942. Our cases do not substantiate the idea that this defect is a male sex-linked one because three out of four of our patients were females.
